A young painter's heartache leads her on a journey through a parallel universe where she discovers the ability to love herself. We filmed the intimate interior scenes you just watched in February 2025.Now we're preparing to launch our crowdfunding campaign in February 2026 to complete the story with stunning exteriors in May 2026.In these exterior sequences, we'll film the parallel universe where Scarlet, our lead character, feels present, curious, and explorative - a stark contrast to the confined interiors.Her shadow follows her through the forest, symbolizing her inner demons. She becomes one with nature, gains the strength to outrun her shadow, and meets the Gold Figure: a representation of her past, present, and future.
Blood Moon is a film by QUEER AND femme-identifying people about female sexuality, intimacy, and self-love.
Meet the Team
KALEE QUIÑONES
Kalee is a writer/director/editor focused on emotional, fearless storytelling. From trailer park noir “E 1200” to queer romance music video “Watts 103rd,” she brings editorial precision and a bold visual eye to stories about love and loss. 
MATTHEW RUSH
Matt is a Seattle producer. He created and produced Slamdance selection "Chickenboy" and crewed on "Prospect" and "The Paper Tigers." From lighting department roots to producing absurdist genre films, he brings a decade of technical and creative expertise to his projects.
